Biomass is any organic matter that can be used as fuel. It is the oldest source of renewable energy, and it can produce heat, solid, liquid, and gas fuels, and electricity. As the price of traditional fuels rise, more people are switching to biomass fuels, or biofuels. The good thing about this is that the plants that biomass is made of take in CO2, it is also renewable. In addition you can find it almost anywhere in the world. You can also use many different and readily available materials to produce Biomass, things such as wood (from trees), straw, poultry litter, food waste, and certain types of grass.
